The Story Between the Forests

From the moment you walk in the door, you will feel a special hospitality. However, our fragrant coffee and pleasantly and comfortably furnished apartments are only part of our story.
It's normal to be different.
At the beginning of everything was the idea: "it's normal to be different". We are a group of social enterprises Etincelle. We have a successful path of employing people with disabilities. We run our own artisan bakery, bistros and cafes Mezi řadky. We also have our own farm, laundry, cleaning teams. And we are now producing fresh pasta and dog biscuits.
We decided to expand our activities even further. To build a guesthouse and a coffee roasting plant, where we will give people with disabilities the opportunity to work, so that they can live a life in which they are beneficial to themselves and their surroundings. We give them the same opportunity in all our operations.
And so we began our Šumava story.
Where design smells like coffee
Coffee has become the central motif in the reconstruction of the entire premises. From the outdoor wooden cladding made of tanned boards according to the old Japanese method, to the legs of the chairs in the bistro, the story of coffee will breathe upon you. We have thought of every detail. The traditional elements of the building have been preserved, which are given a touch of charm by the use of modern materials.
Each floor of the guesthouse and apartment has its own unique character.
On the second floor, we preserve as many of the building's original features as possible. Uneven walls or exposed whitewashed masonry around the windows. At the same time, we add elegance and style to the space with carefully selected furnishings.
The third floor has a modern feel. Here too, we carefully selected materials and furnishings to ensure that each room
was original. Thanks to the high ceilings, all the apartments are airy.
On the ground floor of the guesthouse there is a coffee roasting room, a spacious common room with a fireplace, a terrace and a kitchen.
